Lead Software Engineer - C# / .Net - Bristol - Hybrid - £60,000 - £65,000 + bonus
We're on the lookout for a Lead Developer with a strong technical foundation and a passion for working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to drive impactful software solutions. This is more than just a coding role—it's an opportunity to shape strategy, mentor developers, and act as a bridge between business needs and technical execution.
About the Role
You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality C#/.Net solutions within a collaborative, test-driven development environment. This role goes beyond hands-on development—you'll be liaising with product owners, business analysts, external vendors, and clients to ensure the technical output aligns seamlessly with user needs and business goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across development teams.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code across full-stack applications.
- Lead and participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical roadmap planning.
- Ensure compliance with project objectives, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and resolve system performance bottlenecks with effective cloud resource management.
- Support the design, testing, deployment, and refinement of new features and products.
- Advocate for and implement best practices in Agile development, TDD, and CI/CD pipelines.
Technical Qualifications
- Expert-level experience with .NET Core, C#, and building cloud-native APIs.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript technologies (React, Angular, or similar).
- Proven experience with AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
- Strong grasp of Microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
- Solid understanding of Automated Testing, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices.
- Excellent communicator, able to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated leadership in multi-team or cross-functional project environments.
