Job Title: Fire Door Installer / Carpenter
Reports To: Passive Fire Projects Manager
Location: Across Wales and the West of England
Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 per annum (DOE) + excellent benefits
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Company
Our client is a well-established provider of passive fire safety solutions, working across a wide range of residential, commercial, and public sector environments. With a strong reputation for quality workmanship and compliance, they deliver certified fire door installations, remedial works, and compartmentation projects that help protect people and property.
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Fire Door Installer to join their expanding team.
The Role
In this role, you’ll carry out high-quality fire door installations and associated carpentry works across various sites in Wales and the West of England. The position involves travel to different client locations, with occasional overnight stays required — all accommodation and expenses are fully covered by the company.
You’ll work to precise standards, ensuring all installations and repairs comply with fire safety regulations and certification requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Install and replace complete fire door sets, including frames, architraves, and seals.

Carry out remedial works, adjustments, and firestopping as required.

Inspect, identify, and report defects or non-compliances in existing fire door systems.

Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail on every project.

Work safely and in line with all site-specific health and safety procedures.

Use company systems and apps to record work completed (full training and mobile device provided).

Attend regular training to stay up to date with fire safety standards and best practices.

Represent the company professionally at all times, ensuring positive client interactions.
About You
Essential:

NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification

Full UK Driving Licence

Valid CSCS card

Proven experience installing and maintaining fire door sets

Understanding of British Standards relevant to fire door compliance

Strong communication and customer service skills
-
Willingness to complete a DBS (CRB) check
