An established and expanding organisation in the fire safety sector is seeking an experienced Fire Risk Consultant to join its growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional with strong technical knowledge of fire safety to deliver assessments across a diverse range of buildings, including high-risk environments. The role offers flexibility to work from home while covering multiple regions, with the support of a collaborative and compliance-focused consultancy team.

Operating within a highly regulated industry, this organisation is committed to best practice, continuous improvement, and achieving recognised quality and safety standards.

Role Overview:

As a Fire Risk Consultant, you will carry out fire risk assessments across a varied property portfolio, produce clear and accurate reports, and ensure compliance with the latest legislative requirements, benchmark standards, and industry guidance. You’ll work closely with senior consultants, directors, and clients to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legislative and non-legislative fire risk assessments across a wide range of premises, including high-risk environments

  • Produce clear, accurate, and professional fire safety reports in line with regulations and best practice

  • Provide client-facing consultancy and act as a key point of contact on assigned projects

  • Support the development of fire strategies and technical documentation (e.g., Reg 38 reports)

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continued third-party accreditation and compliance

  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the required technical standards

  • Promote the organisation’s reputation through professionalism, technical expertise, and customer service excellence

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience carrying out fire risk assessments across a range of property types, including higher-risk residential, healthcare, and commercial settings

  • Strong understanding of current legislation, government standards, and industry best practice

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong client relationships

  • Ability to manage workload independently while contributing to a wider consultancy team

  • High level of accuracy, organisation, and professionalism in reporting and project delivery

  • Recognised qualifications in fire safety (minimum Level 4 or equivalent)

  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., Institute of Fire Engineers) is desirable

What’s on Offer:

  • Salary £45,000 – £50,000 depending on experience

  • Home-based role with regional travel

  • 23 days annual leave + bank holidays

  • Pension scheme

  • Private healthcare

  • Opportunity to join a growing organisation with a supportive and forward-thinking culture
