Fire Risk Consultant
Wales, Midlands, South East & South West – Full-Time, Remote with travel
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 + Benefits
An established and expanding organisation in the fire safety sector is seeking an experienced Fire Risk Consultant to join its growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional with strong technical knowledge of fire safety to deliver assessments across a diverse range of buildings, including high-risk environments. The role offers flexibility to work from home while covering multiple regions, with the support of a collaborative and compliance-focused consultancy team.

Role Overview:
As a Fire Risk Consultant, you will carry out fire risk assessments across a varied property portfolio, produce clear and accurate reports, and ensure compliance with the latest legislative requirements, benchmark standards, and industry guidance. You’ll work closely with senior consultants, directors, and clients to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct legislative and non-legislative fire risk assessments across a wide range of premises, including high-risk environments

Produce clear, accurate, and professional fire safety reports in line with regulations and best practice

Provide client-facing consultancy and act as a key point of contact on assigned projects

Support the development of fire strategies and technical documentation (e.g., Reg 38 reports)

Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continued third-party accreditation and compliance

Ensure all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the required technical standards

Promote the organisation’s reputation through professionalism, technical expertise, and customer service excellence
Skills & Experience:

Proven experience carrying out fire risk assessments across a range of property types, including higher-risk residential, healthcare, and commercial settings

Strong understanding of current legislation, government standards, and industry best practice

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong client relationships

Ability to manage workload independently while contributing to a wider consultancy team

High level of accuracy, organisation, and professionalism in reporting and project delivery

Recognised qualifications in fire safety (minimum Level 4 or equivalent)

Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., Institute of Fire Engineers) is desirable
