The Role

We’re looking for an organised and customer-focused Internal Sales / Order Administrator to join a busy commercial team based in Caerphilly.

You’ll play a key role in supporting the sales function — managing incoming enquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders, and ensuring customers receive a seamless and professional service from start to finish. This position would suit someone who enjoys variety, communication, and being the link between clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage customer enquiries via phone and email, providing accurate information and quotations.

  • Support the sales team with preparing quotes, processing orders, and managing customer accounts.

  • Maintain CRM and internal systems with up-to-date client data and order progress.

  • Liaise with technical, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.

  • Produce sales reports and assist with tracking performance and trends.

  • Follow up on outstanding quotes and proactively build positive client relationships.

  • Resolve any queries around invoicing, delivery, or order details in a timely manner.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in internal sales, order processing, or administrative support.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Confident with Microsoft Office and comfortable using CRM systems.

  • Proactive, organised, and team-oriented approach.

Desirable

  • Experience in a technical, engineering, or compliance-based industry.

  • Understanding of SLAs, KPIs, or service delivery metrics.

  • A positive attitude with a desire to learn and develop within the company.
