Junior Financial Crime Analyst

Bridgend (Hybrid – 3 days office based)

£26,000 – £30,000 + benefits

This is a Junior/Entry-Level position — no prior financial crime experience is required. Full training will be provided. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support financial crime monitoring and assurance activities

  • Assist with compliance reviews and control testing

  • Produce and maintain monitoring reports for stakeholders

  • Help review policies, procedures, and governance documentation

  • Analyse data to identify trends, risks, and control gaps

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of monitoring frameworks

  • Support audits, regulatory reviews, and internal assurance work

  • Assist with financial crime training and awareness initiatives

Essential:

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Strong Excel skills (data handling, reporting, analysis)

  • Analytical mindset with good problem-solving ability

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Well-organised and proactive approach

Desirable (not essential):

  • Maths, Finance, Economics or related degree

  • Exposure to data analysis or reporting work

  • Interest in Compliance, Risk, or Financial Crime
